Midland Survey have an extensive range of the latest technology in laser scanning and total stations enabling us to provide a wide variety of 3D Services, from modelling land and building to 3D fly-throughs.
Currently there is a lot of confusion in the industry when it comes to Laser scanning, BIM and 3D modelling. For this reason we work closely with all our clients to make sure we understand exactly what they require and they understand what they will be reciveing at the end of the project.
At Midland Survey accuracy always comes first and that is no differnt with all our 3D Building Models. We can conduct a full building survey to produce a model or alternatively we can model from exisitng plans provided by the client.
We offer 3 main levels of detail (Basic / Standard / Detailed) allowing the client to find the right level for their needs.
We have worked closely with our clients to produce detailed 3D models of site topography. We can tailor each model to our clients needs.
The majority of our 3D models are produced using the latest Autodesk Revit as it is the market leader and in the future alternatives like Archicad will become less popular as more and more people switch to Revit.
For this reason we are able to offer our models in a variety of formats for a variety of differnt software packages. We can work with the latest Revit package and also 3 version backs, please contact us to discuss all options.
As we have a variety of scanning hardware we are able to provide several options to our clients when producing a point cloud. Often producing a full 3D point cloud can be very time consuming and costly, a building can have many small rooms which can be awkward to scan and really increase the overall scan time on site.
We offer 3 main types of 3D Point Clouds:
- Colourless point cloud with a relative accuracy of 20-30mm
- Greyscale point cloud with a relative accuracy of 2-3mm
- Full colour point cloud with a relative accuracy of 2-3mm
All categories go from high to low quality depending on the quality of the scan needed. Often heritage sites will need a higher quality than just a scan used for a dimensional survey.
With any site we scan for our clients we can upload the registered scans onto the Webshare Cloud.
WebShare Cloud enables our clients to inspect the cloud and get vital information sometimes as quick as the day after the site visit. With Webshare Cloud you can:
- Take measurements.
- Produce Ortho Photos (Floor Plans and Elevations).
- View in 3D or panorama view.
- View and share any current view of the cloud with any device. (It works well on a Smart Phone).
- Much more and updates are always coming.
Midland Survey can produce 3D Fly-throughs for any Building or Topography. We work closely with clients to ensure the final product is as expected.
With 3D Fly-through there are large variety of options to consider so contact us today to find out more. For a compeitive quote for our 3D Fly-Through services please use our Quick Quote form now!
Sometimes it isn't neccesary for our clients to recieve full linework drawings, an Ortho photo contains a lot of information and it is a lot more cost effective to produce. Ortho Photos can be produced for elevations, sections and plan views. Dimensions can be taken straight from the Ortho Photo and they can be provided the day after the site visit.
