Site clearance surveys or borehole clearance surveys are an essential part of any underground investigation.
Here at Midland Survey Limited we adopt the guide lines of (HSG47):
Planning – with the client a test approach will be agreed.
Plans, records – site knowledge and any known records on site should be made available.
Cable and pipe locating devices – we use the latest utility location technology which include; radio detection locators and ground penetrating radar as standard.
These three key elements complement each other and all should be used when working near services. Failure to establish the position of services before digging can have a costly effect on site budget and also the health and safety of staff. Our clearance surveys aim to reduce these risks.
