A CCTV drainage survey is a detailed inspection of a drainage system using specialist CCTV cameras. The survey is carried out to identify potential problems with the drains such as cracked or blocked pipes.

If you suspect a problem with your drains, a CCTV drainage survey will give you a clear picture of what is going on in the drains and sewers. Identifying the cause of the problem will allow you to take the best action to resolve it.

A CCTV condition survey usually takes less than 2 hours. For a larger system with longer and wider pipes, this will take more than 2 hours.

A basic CCTV drainage survey can cost around £600. For a full CCTV drainage survey and report, you can expect to pay around £600 – £1000.

A CCTV condition survey report includes a map of all the pipework and drains, including the accessible manholes, the dimensions of the pipes, their material, the direction of flow and water levels. Any defects, cracks or blockages are recorded and appropriate repairs are suggested. You should also get a copy of the video footage and photos taken by the professionals.
